The CBI today began probe into the alleged gang rape and torture of a 20-year-old Dalit woman from Hathras, who died at a hospital in Delhi last month. The girl's cremation by UP Police in absence of her parents attracted rage from across the country. Before the case was handed over to the CBI, the victim's family made several attempts to refute conspiracy theories floated against them.
