A crisis is developing in Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu, with heavy flooding of the city area as a result of a severe cyclone off the coast. Cyclone Michaung is expected to hit the Andhra Pradesh coastline, between Nellore and Machilipatnam, tomorrow but the situation in Chennai has been awful today - flooded roads, no power, patchy internet and massive water logging. Some metro services were also affected and the airport was shut down till tomorrow with water on the tarmac.
