Airport at Ludhiana: An issue of politics
The most industrialised city in North India, Ludhiana, is also called the Manchester of India. For the last decade, people here have been asking for an international airport. Ludhiana is north India's richest city. It was promised an International Airport but now the reality is that it doesn't even have a functional domestic airport. The only link to Ludhiana is by train and road.
