A procession on motorcycles in Ayodhya, despite a ban, by VHP cadres, marked an otherwise rather uneventful day in Ayodhya , as it marked 25 years to the day when the Babri Masjid was razed to the ground - Schools and colleges were open, so were shops, and life went on as usual. In these 25 years, much of Ayodhya has stood in a time warp, with politics over the Mandir Masjid issue overshadowing the absence of even basic infrastructure in the town. Now, many residents, especially Ayodhya's youth, say they want a change.
