Mumbai: Filmmaker Karan Johar, who was directed by Anurag Kashyap in Bombay Velvet, said that he will never cast Anurag in his film and that he takes only good-looking actors in his films.

"I will not cast Anurag in my film. I only take good-looking actors. I will not make a film where Anurag fits in. Can you imagine Anurag in New York? You see him in Gangs of Wasseypur kind of films," Karan Johar said.

However, he also said that he would never direct himself.

"I will never direct myself. I can't be my own liability. I am open to offers. I don't have a delusion that I can do lead roles, but good supporting roles I will do." (Also Read: Why Karan Johar Wants to 'Erase' His DDLJ Experience)

Karan Johar will be seen in a negative role in Bombay Velvet. He said yes to this film because no one else would ever offer him a negative role.

"My character in the film is manipulative. When Anurag came to me with this film, I loved the role. When he told me that he was considering Naseruddin Shah for this role, it acted as an added pressure. I thought nobody will offer me a negative role in my life so I thought I should take it. I hope it works out." (Also Read - Karan Johar's Bombay Velvet Experience: No Tantrums, No Black)

Bombay Velvet features Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Karan Johar among others.

According to Anurag, so far he hasn't faced any issue with the film. "I don't think there is going to be any issue. I have not faced any issues so far. 'Bombay' in this film is like a noun and not a place."
