London:
Selena Gomez's friends and colleagues allegedly want her to split up with Justin Bieber again.
The 20-year-old singer - who broke up with the 19-year-old pop star in December after two tumultuous years together - rekindled her romance with the Never Say Never hitmaker last week, but her pals are reportedly keen for them to be apart because he often leaves her "in floods of tears".
One of Selena's friends told The Sun newspaper: "We did everything we could to keep them apart but he was so persistent.
"It's really unhealthy they have such a turbulent relationship at such a young age. He leaves her in floods of tears constantly.
"She has had a really difficult year or so dealing with the tense emotions that come with dating him. We thought she had finally broken free. But he has persuaded her to take him back again. There's not much we can do about it - but we are going to try."
Another friend added: "She spent the last year of their relationship an emotional wreck. And we can see no end in sight to this."
While Selena's friends are concerned about the couple's relationship, Justin's pal Cody Simpson - who is supporting the Canadian star on his Believe tour - is pleased to the pair are back together because he thinks the brunette beauty is a "great influence" on the Beauty and a Beat singer.
He said: "It's good to see that. She's always been a great influence on him.
"She's amazing every time I've met her when I'm with him. She's a super sweet girl. I'm happy for them."
Justin has come under fire recently after Swedish police reportedly found marijuana on his tour bus last week, and his pet monkey, Mally, was locked up in Germany after he tried to sneak the primate into the country without the correct papers.
Earlier this year, the singer endured a controversial trip to Britain, where he got into a heated argument with a paparazzi photographer and angered fans by turning up to a gig two hours late. He caused further debate recently by suggesting Holocaust victim Anne Frank "would have been a Belieber".
