New Delhi: The Kaun Banega Crorepati episode aired on Friday began with Aditya Dubey from Bhopal on the Hot Seat. Mr Dubey had cleared the first level of the game on Thursday's episode and was on the Hot Seat on Friday for a brief while. Mr Dubey exhausted his remaining Lifelines for the question for Rs 3.2 lakh, whose answer he wasn't sure about. Aditya Dubey decided to quit the game and go home with prize money of Rs 1.6 lakh. But what actually added a special touch to the episode is the arrival of Sonam Wangchuk from Ladakh - who is an engineer but is better known as an innovator and educational reformist. Mr Wangchuk arrived on Amitabh Bachchan's show along with a student of his. Mr Wangchuk is also the personality, who is said to have inspired Aamir Khan's character in Rajkumar Hirani's 3 Idiots.

Mr Wangchuk is the founder of Students' Educational and Cultural Movement of Ladakh (SECMOL), which is working towards a better educational platform for the children of Ladakh. In 2013, Mr Wangchuk created history and earned international recognition with his invention of the Ice Stupa - an artificial glacier of sorts which stores surplus Winter water in the form of ice cones or hills. In warmer months, melted water from the stupas is used for irrigation and other necessary purposes. On the show, Mr Wangchuk offered a detailed explanation of how the Ice Stupa Project is helping the people of Ladakh towards a greener life - a stupa is the store house of 3 lakh litres of water.

Mr Wangchuk added that he named his project 'Ice Stupa' to make the people of Ladakh relate to it and also have a traditional touch.
