Kamal Haasan apparently came to Shruti's rescue and helped her to get her look right
New Delhi:
Veteran actor Kamal Haasan, who has famously experimented with his looks in various films such as >i>Chachi 420 and Hey Ram to name a few, has now given inputs on his daughter Shruti's look for her upcoming flick, D-Day.
Directed by Nikhil Advani, Shruti plays Suraiya, a prostitute in the film and will be required to sport a scar on her face. Her famous father is said to have come to her rescue and helped her get the look right.
"The story of the scar dates back to Suraiya's past, when she entered the world of sex trade at 16. She was given this scar when her face was cut open by a pimp," said a source close to the film.
The father-daughter duo was very involved in developing her look, including deciding the right colour of the scar, its depth, how would it look, as it ages et al - and as seen in the recently launched trailer of the movie, the scar looks as good as real.
Slated to release on July 19, D-Day also features actors Rishi Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Irrfan, Aakash Dahiya, Huma Qureshi, Chandan Roy Sanyal and Sree Swara Dubey.
