A still from Bombay Velvet.

Filmmaker Vikas Bahl said that he failed as a producer with Anurag Kashyap's Bombay Velvet.
"The experience of Bombay Velvet was the best thing to happen to us. It will make Anurag Kashyap a better director. I feel that I failed as a producer. When Anurag was doing the film, I used to tell him that it is a big budget film and we need a U certificate," said Vikas.
Featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Karan Johar, Bombay Velvet opened to negative reviews and failed at the box office too.
"I failed as a producer terribly because Anurag could have made Bombay Velvet one of his wildest films. I handicapped him and will never do it again," added Vikas.(Also Read: After Bombay Velvet Debacle, Money is Anurag Kashyap's 'Nightmare')
