Rajasthan Government will reconsider the decision to reopen schools from August 2 and will announce the date and nature of school reopening, School Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasra said today.
Earlier, on July 22, the Rajasthan Government had given "in-principle approval" to reopen schools and other educational institutions from August 2. However, the detailed guidelines as to how the schools would function after reopening were not announced. While discussing on the standard operating procedures, the Chief Minister said that the school reopening date will be reconsidered keeping the safety and education of the children in mind.
The School Education Minister took to his micro-blogging site to announce this. Mr Dotasra said: "After discussing all the aspects in the meeting of the Cabinet Committee constituted to prepare a detailed SOP regarding the opening of the school, the Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said he will decide on the date and nature of the school opening."
"Both the safety and education of the children are the priority of our government," the Education Minister Dotasra added.
