In every foreign trip of his, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tried hard to connect with Non Resident Indians (NRIs) who in turn have equally embraced the Prime Minister and have displayed a zeal in contributing towards India's 'development'. So should all of those who have left the shores of India for a better life have any stake on India's politics or should they be pontificating others on how to make India a better place? Do NRIs get involved in India's 'development' beyond paying a lip service? BJP has gone out of its way to establish a bond with NRIs and People of Indian Origin (PIO) but has that led to NRIs, PIOs investing back in India?
