Can a coronavirus patient get re-infected within a few months? In Mumbai, a study has tracked three doctors and one health worker who have been re-infected with covid. What's even more worrying is the infection is more serious the second time around. According to a preprint published on The Lancet medical journal's website, the re-infection has been confirmed using whole genome sequencing
The research - was conducted by the two hospitals along with the Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology (IGIB) and the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) in Delhi.
