The Women's Reservation Bill has cleared the parliament with unanimity. It indeed is a historic milestone for the Indian policy, but we also look at what women voters expect. The current representation of women in houses, both state assemblies and at the centre is abysmally low, and it, in no ways, in a sense, enshrines the aspirations of the women voter.
