Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made a video address on Thursday, which marked the first day of Ukrainian Statehood. The holiday was instituted last year by Zelensky and was set for July 28 to mark Vladimir the Great's mass baptism of Kievan Rus into Orthodox Christianity in the 10th century.
