Well, it's election season and in Chhattisgarh, Shocking news coming in Just before the assembly elections, the Narayan Pur B JP District Vice President Ratan Dube was murdered, allegedly by Naxalite. In fact, the B JP, leader of the Narayan Pur district uh, was murdered by a group of Naxalites on the campaign trail. And he was a vice president of this particular area and this happened in the Khan Nagar area of Chhattisgarh. Of course, Uh, this is like to become a huge political issue as well as Naxalite. Violence has, of course, been on the rise in Chhattisgarh and moving now to the campaign trail where all the newsmakers on ND TV in Mad Pradesh and Chhattisgarh ND TV is on the ground. And Raman Singh, who is being seen, of course, as the key contender to bhupesh mail. He expresses confidence that the B JP will form the government in Chhattisgarh and well, he also says the Congress is making empty promises. Take a look at this interview. Well, Chief Minister Bhupesh Bil saying it's, uh you know, says that the B JP is scared and it's deploying the ECB I and other central agencies against the Congress for political vendetta. He also comments on the Mahadev betting app case which, of course, is becoming a huge political controversy in the state. Take a look. I'm joined in an exclusive interview with the chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, who's facing now an allegation, very surprisingly, the enforcement directorate saying that you know you are involved and saying it's a matter of investigation. How do you respond to this? What up beat or a car? You were the first one to, in fact, write and complain in August 2023 about the fact that there should be an investigation into mad. What is your response to now that this entire issue has been brought up? Uh, one last question on you know, the future of Chhattisgarh. This is going to be an important election for you. Are you the chief? You know, Congress hasn't announced you as the chief ministerial candidate, but you are leading the front. So are you clear that you are going to be one of the biggest contenders in this election and the issue of people you know? Why do you think that this time, people, uh, we'll vote for you. So the high stakes campaign there in Chhattisgarh but moving now to Mizoram that goes to polls for its 40 member assembly on November the seventh. And it would be yet another tough poll battle for Misra Chief Minister Zoran Thanga and his party, the Mizo National Front, when the two time chief minister this time is up against a multi cornered fight with old time opponent Congress ally the B JP and a young party Z PM, throwing a political challenge at the cry went on a campaign trail. We are only a member of in the in the national centre in an issue like the Myanmar Refugees Government of India said that you should push them back and the Bangladesh refugees you should push them back. But we told them that we are just following what the central government has done many decades ago. Our stay in Manipur is a big, big plus point in the coming election. M and F swept the 2018 assembly polls, winning 27 of the 40 seats. Zs Party has projected him as the guardian of the chin, cookies or tribes of Northeast, even as the other parties, including BJP, have called him out on corruption, unemployment, drug menace and poor infrastructure. Our big focus on NDT with the devastation caused by the earthquake in Nepal and the aftermath A 6.2 magnitude earthquake in fact hit Nepal on Friday night, late night on Friday, in fact, and the aftermath is that of loss, shock and grief in Nepal. In fact, over 150 people have been killed in Nepal and there's destruction on the ground as well. And many shockwaves also sent across north India because tremors were felt. And the big question now is, are we prepared for a possible earthquake? Do we need a rethink as far as a disaster management strategy is concerned, My colleague Tenish Punjabi is on the ground in Nepal and he sent us this report from a government hospital where many of the victims have not been shifted. I'm right now in the hospital in the Nepal Ganji area of Nepal. Uh, this, uh this is a hospital where the victims are being rescued were being rescued, were being airlifted from the jar that was the epicentre of the earthquake around 6.4 magnitude that struck Nepal last night last night and claiming more than 100 and 40 lives in the earthquake. Now the victims are being treated here. They were airlifted. Uh, by, uh they were elected by the choppers and brought here. Uh, many of the victims will have been taken to Kathmandu also. And this is the Nepal Country Area and you can see there are a lot of victims here. Uh, around more than 3030 victims were being treated here. They've been brought here. They here. This is the Nepal Gans area of Nepal. This is very close to the India border and a lot of people are being treated here, some with very serious injuries, some with minor injuries a lot of injured have been taken. Uh, a lot of injured have been taken to, uh uh to Kathmandu also. We'll just try to speak to some of the family members of the victims of sir aka Na Uh Lali Kumar Per a a, uh 12. Uh, let me tell you, just the epicentre of the earthquake was the jar good area, which is 3 to 4 hours by road from here. And, uh, all the patients were airlifted and they were brought here in, uh, very hospital That's in the Nepal area and all the all the patients are being treated. I can I can I can if I can just show you the individuals over there. The patients are being treated, and, uh, around more than 30 patients were brought here. Uh, the total death toll of the earthquake is more than 140 more than more than 50 to 60 people have been injured. An exhibition at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi is catching everybody's attention. Organised by the Sanka Foundation, this exhibition is remarkable because all these paintings have been done by tribals from 54 tiger reserves across the country. This exhibition was inaugurated by President Dr Mur on Friday. She also met these artists at the Raj Bhavan before inaugurating the exhibition. A 12 year old painter, the youngest among these artists, could not hide his excitement. This exhibition has been organised in collaboration with the National Tiger Conservation Authority to celebrate 50 years of Project Tiger. The exhibition ends on November the fifth, but the organisers say there will be many such exhibitions in the future say alternative livelihood A. Rather than hunting the tiger, why don't they paint them? See?
