Prime Minister Narendra Modi lit diyas at his residence in Delhi Monday evening - to celebrate an early Diwali - hours after he led the 'pranpratishtha' of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh. Visuals showed a stern-looking Mr Modi, with a yellow shawl wrapped around his shoulders, lighting diyas and elaborate bronze lamps, and worshipping cut-outs of the Ram Lalla idol.
