Union minister for Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari today visited Zojila pass and Sonmarg in Kashmir to take stock of work on strategically important tunnels that will provide all weather connectivity to Ladakh. While work on 6.5 km Z- MORH Tunnel, coming up at a cost of Rs 2,300 crore, will be completed by the end of the year. The work on 13 km long Zojila tunnel - the longest road tunnel in India is being carried out at fast pace. Rs 4900 Crore project is expected to be completed by 2026.
