The mother of the 23-year-old medical student who was gangraped and tortured in a moving bus in Delhi nearly six years ago, welcomed the Supreme Court order that confirmed that the five men responsible will hang. The court, which was hearing a petition from the convicted men, rejected their request for a life term.
