49 children have died in 30 days at a government hospital in Farukhabad in Uttar Pradesh, allegedly because of lack of medicine or oxygen. Three doctors, including the Chief Medical Officer, have been charged and sacked. The district magistrate has also been removed. 19 of the children who died at the Ram Manohar Lohia district hospital were still-born, say officials.
