While addressing a public rally in Uttar Pradesh's Amroha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised pacer Mohammed Shami and his efforts in the ICC World Cup 2024. "The whole world has seen the amazing feat done by Mohammed Shami (who is from Amroha) in the Cricket World Cup. The central government has given the Arjuna Award to Mohammed Shami for his excellent performance in sports," he said.
