In Bihar Sharif, the headquarters of Nalanda district, bulldozers ran on many houses of the Municipal Corporation to make the Chowk Bazar Road located on the local bridge free of encroachment. Under the Bihar Sharif Smart City plan, a drain is being constructed in the first phase to make the city beautiful and clean. On Saturday, officials and workers of the Municipal Corporation arrived to remove the encroachment with bulldozers, which local residents and shop owners protested.
