The Indian government has strategically boosted crude oil imports from Russia, accounting for over 35 per cent of crude imports in 2023 to mitigate the impact of the Russia-Ukraine war on oil supplies. Iran said that their offensive is over the fear of supply disruption associated with the events in the Middle East.
