Eight people were killed and several others were feared trapped after a major fire broke out in a textile mill in Panipat. Several people were still feared trapped inside the mill. The cause of the fire could not be known immediately. Fire tenders from Panipat and nearby areas had been pressed into service to bring the fire under control.
