The numbers seem to be growing with people living longer - and many people have a relative or know of saomeone who is affected by dementia. In India, it is usually family members who care for those who can no longer care for themselves - and this can be a very stressful part of their life. Now, the World Health Organisation, WHO, along with NIMHANS in Bengaluru and Stanford University is working on a study along with caregivers to see how their lives can be made easier when dealing with a parent who has become a willful child - or an older relative who needs to be cared for like a baby.
