Protests at Singur may have been suspended after the West Bengal Government promised to return the seized land to farmers. But work on the plant of the world's cheapest car, the Nano remains suspended. Tatas say they are "distressed" at the limited clarity of the deal between the government and the agitators. But Mamata Banerjee, leading the protests, described the agreement as a big victory.
