21-year-old Guwahati student Bidhan Baruah's took a legal recourse to fight for sex change. But his dream to undergo a sex change surgery to be a woman is still distant and difficult as his family vehemently opposes his decision. However, it's not just about Bidhan, this is a larger story about the struggles and opposition transsexuals who want to change they gender face, not only from their families but also from society in general. It may be hard to accept their decision, but what's at stake they say, is their right to a life of dignity, respect and happiness.
