As many as 6,000 Amarnath Yatra pilgrims were stranded at Ramban due to the suspension of Amarnath Yatra following inclement weather on July 8. The pilgrims were shifted to 'Yatri Niwas' and arrangements for their stay were made. Canteens and medical help desks for the pilgrims were set up. The recreation of the pilgrims till the resumption of the yatra was also taken care of.
