On Saturday, as the situation worsened with the forest fires in Uttarakhand, the Indian Air Force took action by dispatching Mi-17 V5 helicopter to conduct 'Bambi Bucket Operations' aimed at extinguishing the flames near Nainital. The fires advanced towards the High Court Colony and an Air Force Station.
