Union Minister of Urban Development, Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation Venkaiah Naidu highlighted the challenges that India faces when it comes to sanitation and the important role of children in achieving the Swachh India dream. There are 6.5 lakh villages that require 1.3 crore toilets. The Minister also spoke about the importance of local communities in maintaining these toilets, once these are built.
