Ahead Of Maharashtra Polls, BJP And Shiv Sena Candidates File Nomination

Maharashtra will vote on October 21, and the state will see the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance compete with Congress-Nationalist Congress Party combine for 288 seats in the electoral contest. After weeks of seat-sharing negotiations, BJP-Shiv Sena announced that BJP will contest 164 seats along with smaller allies, the Uddhav Thackeray-led party in 124. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Aaditya Thackeray among other candidates filed their poll nominations through the week. The results of the assembly elections will be announced on October 24.
