GoAir, SpiceJet Announce New Routes, Discounts On Flight Tickets

GoAir is offering domestic flight tickets at a starting all-inclusive price of Rs. 1,099

Amid high competition in the civil aviation sector, airlines have announced discounts on bookings and introduced new routes. GoAir is offering domestic and international flight tickets at a starting all-inclusive price of Rs 1,099 and Rs. 4,999 respectively in a limited-period sale, according to carrier's website, goair.in. SpiceJet has announced the introduction of 10 new flights at a starting all-inclusive price of Rs. 2,293, according to news agency Press Trust of India (PTI). The new flights have been announced under the Regional Connectivity Scheme, UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik).

Here are key things to know about the announcements made by GoAir and SpiceJet:

GoAir

GoAir is offering domestic and international flight tickets starting from Rs. 1,099 and Rs. 4,999 respectively, according to GoAir's website. The sale is valid for travel between March 2, 2019 and September 1, 2019, according to the carrier. Under this offer, the cheapest flight ticket is available on Bagdogra-Guwahati route starting at an all-inclusive price of Rs. 1,099, which is applicable on travel between April 1 and April 14, 2019. Bookings under the sale offer can be made till March 4, 2019.

SpiceJet

SpiceJet has announced the introduction of ten new flights at a starting all-inclusive price of Rs. 2,293, according to a PTI report. Eight of SpiceJet's new flights will connect Gwalior to different cities across the country and two will fly on the Bhopal-Udaipur route. The new flights will become operational between March 31 and April 15. SpiceJet's flight between Bhopal and Udaipur will be available at a starting fare of Rs. 2,293, said the private carrier.

Last week, SpiceJet also announced the introduction of new flights on Jharsuguda-Delhi, Jharsuguda-Hyderabad and Jharsuguda-Kolkata routes.
