A new species of tyrannosaur, Khankhuuluu mongoliensis, has been identified in Mongolia. The fossils, misidentified for 50 years, were discovered in the early 1970s in southeastern Mongolia. Khankhuuluu mongoliensis is about 4 meters long and weighs approximately 750 kg, resembling a large horse.
