Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to accept Barack Obama's invitation to Washington in September this year. For the US an invitation to a summit-level meeting in Washington during UN month, is a break from traditional protocol, and a sign of Washington's eagerness to smoothen ties with India's new Prime Minister.
