Whether it is firing in Kashmir by the BSF on protesters or excesses committed by special forces in Naxal areas and the alleged human rights violation by the Army in Northeast, it is the men in uniform who are always criticised, who are always subjected to intense media scrutiny and criticism by human rights group. But are we being unfair to these men, who guard our border and lay down their lives to protect us? Or are human rights groups justified in criticising the excesses that men in uniform are being accused of?
