The rescue operation of pulling out 33 trapped Chile miners trapped underground for 68 days has begun at San Jose mine and the first trapped miner has reached the surface. The capsule that will carry the miners to fresh air and freedom was lowered into a nearly half-mile-long (around 804 metres) rescue tunnel on Tuesday night in Copiapo.
