Environment minister Jairam Ramesh has warned the Uttarakhand government of action under Central law in case the state government does not act strongly against the rampant illegal mining in the state. Yoga guru and activist Swami Nigamanand died last week in a Dehradun hospital as a result of a protest fast on the issue.
