An Ahmedabad sessions court will hear the anticipatory bail application of Gujarat Child Welfare Minister Mayaben Kodnani on Thursday. The minister is wanted by the Special Investigation Team set up by the Supreme Court to re-investigate nine riot cases. Riot victims had alleged that she had instigated mobs in Naroda Patiya, which resulted in death of around 100 people. Though witnesses had named her, she had been dropped from the accused list by the local police.
