Kishori Amonkar, a legend of Hindustani classical music died Monday night at her home in Mumbai. She was 84 and had only just done a concert in Delhi less than 10 days ago. Acclaimed as one of the greatest singers and known for her innovative khyal gayaki, Kishori Amonkar's life was her music.
