The Cabinet today cleared a Rs 12,000 crore package for Bihar, a decision clearly prompted as much by political considerations as well as any perceived need. This is on a day BJP Bihar leaders met with party president Rajnath Singh to express anger over Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's criticism of his Gujarat counterpart and a likely PM candidate in 2014, Narendra Modi.
