Nearly 150 people have died and thousands are marooned in Jammu and Kashmir, devastated by its worst floods in 60 years. India's cloud penetrating, day and night viewing capability radar imaging satellite shows how wide the submergence is in Kashmir. The satellite gives only black and white output and the darker black regions indicate the regions that have been flooded. This image was taken at 6 am on Sept 8, 2014.
