The Supreme Court criticised the Madras High Court's arrest order for ADGP HM Jayaram. The court also questioned the necessity of Jayaram's suspension since he is cooperating with the probe. Justice Manmohan highlighted the demoralising effect of the suspension on a 28-year service officer.
