Here's a step-by-step guide on how you can link your Aadhaar number with your PAN easily using Income Tax Department's this online facility: 

First, log in to the Income Tax Department's e-filing portal, using his registered username and password.

Enter the name and the Aadhaar number in the given fields and click "Link Now".

The process only works if basic details such as name and date of birth match exactly on both identification documents.

The Income Tax Department validates the details entered by the user with the Unique Identification Authority of India, which manages the government's Aadhaar biometric ID programme.   

The Aadhaar number, also known as Unique Identity Number, is a 12-digit personal identification number issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India, Whereas PAN is a 10-digit alphanumeric number allotted by the Income Tax Department.
