Scores of women were trapped in a narrow space during the stampede at Sri Venkateswara Temple. Nine devotees died in the stampede during the Ekadashi puja at a Srikakulam temple. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed shock and directed speedy treatment for the injured.
