Ravi Teja is mostly known for good entertainment with a touch of comedy which appeals to all sections of the audience. With Veera, Ravi Teja hoped to change his image and try something new.
Veera does nothing to Ravi Teja's image – old or new. Largely due to the weak script, over-the-top violence and unnecessary skin show.
Ravi Teja (Veera) lands at his sister's home in disguise, to protect her family from local goons with whom he has a past enmity. The goons kill her family and Veera's wife and step mother as well. The rest of the story revolves around how Veera avenges their deaths.
Telugu film Veera is a high-voltage action movie starring Ravi Teja with Kajal Agarwal and Tapsee as the female leads.
Veera lacks the soul and purpose to keep the audience glued to the screen.
The violence and gore in the film is a major turn off, even for hard nosed action junkies.
Ravi Teja looks insipid throughout the film. The shades in his character remain unexplored. .
Kajal fares slightly better than Tapsee. But neither makes a lasting impression.
Among the baddies, Pradeep Rawat is standard. Brahmanandam is below average. ‘Kick' Shyam is wasted.
Final word: Call it a disaster or a flop! Take your pick.
