National Award winning actor Vidya Balan chose another a Sabyasachi sari to hand the match ball an Australian Rules Football match in Melbourne over the weekend.
Vidya was the first Indian, the first woman and the first non-player to present the ball at an Aussie Rules match. She was at the historic Melbourne Cricket Ground where Richmond Club was playing Sydney Swans.
Australian media speculated that Vidya's brief appearance added 20,000 fans to the match crowd due to her huge following in the Indian community living there.

Vidya Balan's love affair with Bengal began with her Bollywood debut as Lolita in Parineeta. After she got up close and personal with Kolkata as ‘B'idya Bagchi in Kahaani, she is back in the city, this time to shoot a new commercial with Parineeta director Pradeep Sarkar.
Vidya said: “It is always a treat to come back here as Kolkata is like second home to me; I fall in love with this city every time I come here.”
The National Award winning actress, who will be seen in the role of a housewife in her next film, recently admitted to be dating Siddharth Roy Kapur.
The actress is seen in her trademark Sabyasachi sari.

Bollywood star Vidya Balan collected her first Best Actress National Award for The Dirty Picture in New Delhi today. She was her usual resplendent self in a pink kanjeevaram and diamond earrings.
Vidya received her award from Vice President Hamid Ansari.
Vidya's parents were at the ceremony to watch her receive her award – and so was beau Siddharth Roy Kapoor, who was collecting an award himself on behalf of UTV Motion Pictures. Before the ceremony, Vidya spoke to the press and said Bollywood must get used to bold and beautiful heroines.
