Mammootty and Charmi in Thappana

Malayalam movie Thappana, starring Mammootty and Charmi in the lead, is a comedy movie.

Directed by Johny Antony, the movie is about good-hearted Monai (Mammootty), who offers to help anyone who is in need.

In his fight for justice, Monai lands up in jail, where he makes friends with the inmates and the police.

As a teenager, Monai was in love with Mallika (Charmi), but they were out of touch.

Coincidentally, Monai meets Mallika in the prison and they both get released on the same day.

While Monai rejoices in meeting Mallika, she refuses to speak to him.

The screenplay of the film is penned by Sindhuraj.

Vidya Sagar has scored the music for the film with lyrics by Anil Panachooran, Santhosh Varma and Murukan Kattakada.
