SBI's Different ATM-Cum-Debit Cards: Here's All You Need To Know

State Bank of India (SBI) has come up with multiple variants of ATM-cum-debit cards as per the customers' needs. The largest lender in the country recently gave this information on microblogging website Twitter. With a spike in digital transactions in the country in the last 18 months, particularly after demonetisation, banks have come up with attractive debit and credit cards to lure customers. SBI is offering a host of different cards such as platinum international debit card, State Bank gift card, State Bank pride card, State Bank pehla kadam and pehli udaan photo debit cards (for minors only), sbiINTOUCH tap and Go debit card - the contactless card, among others. 

Here are the details you need to know about different SBI cards:

State Bank gift card

The State Bank gift card, issued in association with VISA international, is a product which offers convenience and wide acceptability and options for beneficiaries to choose from. 

A prepaid card, State Bank gift card is usable at all VISA-enabled merchant establishments and POS or e-commerce transactions. It also acts as a substitute for gift vouchers sold by many retail houses as its use is not restricted to any particular merchant establishment/Point of Sale.  

Issuance Fee - Rs 100 (plus GST)

Replacement card - Rs 100 (plus GST)

State Bank pehla kadam and pehli udaan photo debit cards (for minors only)

According to sbi.co.in, Pehla Kadam and Pehli Udaan are savings bank products for children. Pehla Kadam is a savings bank account for minors of any age. This account is jointly opened with the parents/guardian whereas, Pehli Udaan is for minors above the age of 10 years who can sign uniformly. This account is opened in the sole name of the minor.

Pehla Kadam: The ATM-cum-debit card has child's photo embossed with a withdrawal/POS limit of Rs 5,000 per day. Card is issued in the name of the minor and guardian.
