1. Vatican City, the world's smallest country with a population of around 840 people, does not have any airport of its own because of its proximity from Rome

2.. Monaco, a city-state situated in the French Riviera is the second-smallest country in the world. The nearest airport is Nice Côte d'Azur Airport in France

3. San Marino, the 5th smallest country in the world, has an estimated population of over 30,000. The closest airport is the Federico Fellini International Airport in Italy

4. Located in the Pyrenees mountains between France and Spain, Andorra doesn't have its own airport. The nearest airports are located in France (Toulouse) and Spain (Barcelona)
