Called El Ojo or “The Eye”, this mysterious thin strip of land is a perfect circle of 120 metres

It is located in the Parana Delta between the cities of Campana and Zarate in Buenos Aires, Argentina, as per Nautica News

The island is surrounded by a tiny channel of clear and cold water which is unique to the area

Floating on its axis, the land resembles the waning crescent phase of the moon

A video posted on X (formerly Twitter) clearly shows the island's gentle spinning over time

Scientists attribute the strange movement of the island to the presence of large natural wells that create streams of water which are capable of moving the island

The rotating eye seems to collide with the surrounding earth, giving it that push it needs, causing detachment and erosion of the muddy portion

According to scientists, the island has existed since 2003

While El Ojo is not the first floating island to appear across the globe, this one is significantly different due to its continuous rotation
