But here are some seats that tell much earlier who will win the race and those are called bellwether seats.

Bellwether seats are those seats that are won by the party that forms the government.

In Bihar, there are three seats that have 100% strike rate. These seats are Raniganj, Saharsa and Keoti.

In 2020 elections, JDU won the Raniganj seat, while BJP won both Saharsa and Keoti seats.

There are two other seats that have gone wrong once each. These are Munger and Pipra.

Munger has gone wrong once in 1985 when a Lokdal candidate won the seat, and Congress formed the government

Pipra seat went wrong in 2015. The seat was won by BJP while Mahagatbhandan formed the government.

Sakra assembly seat in Muzaffarpur district is another seat which comes close to being a bellwether seat. It had gone wrong once in 1985.

Barbigha is another seat that can be called a bellwether. The seat was won by the Janata Party in 1977, and then by Congress till 2000.
